This week, on 20 and 21 January, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jonatan Vseviov, hosted the Secretary General of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Anne-Marie Descôtes, in Tallinn.
The meeting focused on transatlantic relations and the international security situation, continued support for Ukraine, and increasing pressure on Russia. EU-related issues were also discussed, as well as further steps to counter the shadow fleet. The strength of bilateral relations between Estonia and France was reaffirmed, and plans were made for further cooperation.
As part of the visit, the Riigikogu and the Estonian Navy were visited, with discussions focusing primarily on issues related to the shadow fleet.
