”The Outer Limit” is historian Mikkel Kirkebæk’s latest two-volume work examining the Danish volunteer soldiers in the Baltic Independence Wars 1918-1920. It will be published by Lindhardt og Ringhof in November 2019. It is with great pleasure that the Embassy of Estonia in Denmark in partnership with The Royal Danish Defence College celebrated the book’s publication in Frederiksberg Slot on November 12th, 2019
Mikkel Kirkebæk provided a presentation of ”The Outer Limit” and the reception had a two additional cultural offerings, a film premiere and the opening of a exhibition by Estonian War Museum. This is the first public screening of “Hvor der kæmpes mod Bolschevikerne” (Where the Bolsheviks are Fought). The film, which has lain hidden in The Danish Film Institute’s archives, was recorded by Danish war photographs during the wars in Estonia, Latvia and Russia.

On top of this, the Embassy of Estonia in Denmark opened a exhibition about voluntaries in the Estonian War of Independence. Exhibition has been prepared by the Estonian War Museum. See the exhibition HERE (pdf).
