The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ESTDEV are announcing a competition to offer young Estonians who were born abroad or live abroad a chance to explore professional life in Estonia.
The programme is aimed at young people aged between 18 and 35 who were born abroad or have been living abroad for at least five years and it offers them a chance to develop professionally and make contacts in Estonia.
The deadline for submissions is 2 April 2025.
The candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Aged between 18 and 35 at the time of applying.
- Living abroad at the time of applying.
- Of Estonian origin and resident outside Estonia for at least five years.
- Able to produce proof of foreign residence, Estonian heritage and years spent away from Estonia if awarded the scholarship.
- Obtained a higher education or vocational education or completed at least one academic year of ongoing studies.
- The traineeship must be completed in Estonia in its entirety.
- The scholarship can be used for completing a traineeship between 1 May 2025 and 30 November 2025.

In three years, 35 young people from very different domains have taken part in the programme. The call for applications is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by ESTDEV.
