On 22 and 23 April, Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna and an Estonian business delegation are on a visit to Indonesian capital Jakarta to boost bilateral relations, and political and economic cooperation, as well as to contribute to the cooperation between the European Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
In Jakarta, Foreign Minister Tsahkna is planned to meet with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono and ASEAN’s Secretary-General Dr Kao Kim Hourn. He will also give a lecture at the Trisakti University and attend a panel discussion on security at the CSIS think tank.
Minister Tsahkna is accompanied by a business delegation that includes the companies Cybernetica, 5.0 ROBOTICS, Dipperfox, A Le Coq, Miltton CIO World, and Fiesta Reisid OÜ.
During his visit, an Estonia-Indonesia business forum is held, jointly organised by the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).
The aim of the visit is to boost bilateral relations between Estonia and Indonesia, find new points of cooperation in politics and the economy, and open doors for Estonian companies looking to enter the Indonesian market. The agenda also prominently features discussions on global security.
